The School Library

The school library is a warm and inviting environment which has a bank of books that are often added to.  There many popular titles that are well-read and sought after!

The school librarian, Joy McMahon, is a vibrant and enthusiastic person who loves books and reading.  In her spare time she enjoys dance, sport, relaxing at home, and spending time with her friends and family.  She has been a valued member of the Henry Hill staff for almost 7 years, and is also the school ESOL teacher.  She likes the library to be a place where the children can come to relax, read, and learn.

Each year Joy and the teacher in charge of the library, Janet Kemp, purchase new resources for the library.  Duffy books also donate new resources throughout the year.

The library is run by student librarians each lunchtime, and children can play quiet board games, read, and relax on the comfy cushions and couches.  There are three research computers available too, which children can use under guidance from their teachers, during their library time.
